Obituary

Carol Joy Condo, aged 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Brockton, MA, on April 5, 2024. Born on December 25, 1942, in Tampa, FL. She was the daughter of Harold L. Pugh and Jean Pugh. Carol was preceded in death by her beloved son, Scott Condo.

Raised in Weymouth, she was part of the class of 1959. After high school, Carol married and had two beautiful children. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1969. As a single mother she worked at Quincy Hospital, Milton Hospital, Faulkner Hospital, Anodyne Agency, and CarePro. Carol retired from nursing at 65 and moved to Sarasota, FL, where she pursued her passion for traveling with friends and family, including two memorable trips to Paris with her fellow nurses. Carol was also an avid Red Sox fan and a fan of Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe.

After suffering a stroke in 2013, Carol moved back to the Boston area to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She cherished family gatherings and celebrated the arrival of each new baby. The loss of Carol Condo deeply impacts our family, marking the passing of a cherished generation.

She is survived by her daughter Mari-Jean Gage and husband Gregg Urichuk-Cheney. Siblings Harold L. Pugh Jr. and his wife Nancy Sullivan-Pugh; Joanne M. Cantalupo and her husband John Cantalupo. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Tiffany, Amy, Rachel, Katie, Jacob, Melissa, and Sarah. Her great-grandchildren: Chloe, Mariah, Corey, Sean, Jazlyn, Noah, Isaac, Michael, Maddox, and Harley. Along with a great-great-granddaughter Naomi Jean and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A service and celebration of life will be held on April 27th at 11:00 am at North River Community Church, 334 Old Oak St, Pembroke, officiated by Pastor Paul Atwater.
