Anthony J. Pizzi (60), of Whitman Massachusetts, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on April 15th 2024.
Anthony, fondly known as Tony, son of Donald Pizzi and Evelyn Lafley, was raised in Holbrook Massachusetts, with his sister, Jeanne (Pizzi) Savoy.
After graduating Blue Hills Regional Technical High School, class of '81 from the Carpentry program, Tony worked for the local 33 carpenters’ union. Later he moved into computer security where he worked for Pioneer/Amundi for almost 30 years.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Anne Pizzi, and 3 loving children. Daughter Jennifer Spain and husband Tyler Spain, daughter Kimberly Pizzi and fiancé Kyle Flink, son Michael Pizzi and partner Caleigh Bryson. He leaves behind his beloved dog Sampson (Snuggy bear). He is also survived by his only sibling, His sister Jeanne Savoy and brother-in-law Jeffrey Savoy as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Tony will be remembered as an example of what a person should be. He prioritized his family, and was with them as much as possible. He was incredibly hard working, but never let it keep him from being there for the people he cared about. He was strong, resilient, and brave. He succeeded through life in all the ways that matter most. He was so fun, and a friend to all. His sense of humor and magnetic personality will be greatly missed, but we will mostly remember him for his love of life and ability to make the people around him happy.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, April 22nd from 4-7 PM with a Funeral service on Tuesday, April 23rd at 10 AM at the Blanchard's Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. A burial will follow at Holbrook Union Cemetery located on Union St.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tony's memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PANCAN).
