Charles J. McCarthy, of Beacon Hill, passed away peacefully on April 5
at the Brockton Veterans Affairs Center.
Charles was born in Newton, the son of Charles A. and Mary McCarthy. He was a graduate of Boston
College. He served in the Army Signal Corps, and was a consultant for many years.
He is survived by Richard F. McCarthy (Edwina, deceased) of Wellesley, Mary Jane Lukas of Southborough, Robert McCarthy (Dianne) of Wellesley, Patricia McCarthy Brown (George) of Wellesley, and many and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He loved the children, who all remember his generosity at Christmas.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on May 3 at Church On The Hill, Bowdoin Street, Boston. Internment will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, at a future date.
