Loriann (LaValley) Kinisky, 58, of Acushnet peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital following an illness. She was the daughter of William E. LaValley of Belmont, ME and the late Sandra (Doble) LaValley.
Ms. Kinisky was born in Attleboro and had been a longtime resident of upstate New York prior to relocating to Acushnet. She had worked for Saratoga Bridges in Upstate New York for over 30 years in both transportation and residential homes. She absolutely loved her job and adored her coworkers and “folks.”
She was a very creative person who enjoyed painting and drawing. People were very drawn to her and she will be remembered for her bright personality as well as her positive outlook on life. She loved animals and had many pets who brought her great joy. She also loved her family very much and enjoyed every minute spent with them.
Survivors along with her father include her 2 daughters: Kayla M. Kinisky-Bednarz and her husband Josh of Acushnet and Jenna Kinisky and her significant other Gesus of Clifton Park, NY; 3 brothers: William LaValley, Jr. of NC, Scott LaValley of ME and Timothy LaValley of TX; 3 sisters: Dawn LaValley of ME, Marcia Hancock of ME and Karen Tompkins of ME; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Robin LaValley and Deborah Card.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 20th from 10:30-12:00 at People’s Christian Church in New Bedford, MA. Feel free to wear Loriann’s favorite color, blue, or something bright in her memory. A Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saratoga Bridges (A Chapter of the Arc, NY) in Ballston Spa, NY and/or to CARE Southcoast, Inc. located in Acushnet, MA.
