Obituary

Roger Pelissier, age 77, of Boston, formerly of Arlington, VA, passed away on March 31, 2024.

Born in 1947 in Washington, D.C., Roger was the son of the late Raymond and Charlotte (Nelligan) Pelissier. He was raised in Arlington, VA and received his bachelor’s degree from Boston College in 1969.

A proud veteran who was fluent in four languages, Roger had served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a language translator. Subsequently, he was employed by the U.S. Department of Defense for over 30 years.

In his spare time, Roger enjoyed spending time with his family, Science fiction, photography, games and current events. He read 4-5 newspapers every day.

Roger is lovingly survived by his Aunt Claire J. Sullivan of Onset, MA, formerly of Winchester, MA, as well as many loving first cousins, friends and acquaintances. Special thanks to Sean Daly and his wife and children of Seminole, Florida.

Roger was a wonderful person who faced his challenges with wonderful determination. He was kind and generous to many. With never an unkind word, he chose to focus on the positive things life had to offer. His wonderful photographs will continue to bring joy and happy memories to many.

A Funeral Mass and Celebration of Life and Burial will be held later this summer.
