Obituary

BELMONT ----Alexy (Al) Lewandoski from Belmont passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, after a brief period of declining health.

Al was born on April 13, 1925, in Berlin CT. He later moved his family to Belmont, NH in 1975.

In Al’s early years he served in the United States Army as a Medium Tank Crewmember of the 7th Armored Tank Division. Al was part of four major battles/campaigns (North France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe).
In Al’s early life he grew up on a farm doing chores and tending livestock. This led to the love of hunting, camping, and fishing. Al was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time with his son Mark hunting in NH and Vt as well as following him through Scouts as a Scoutmaster. Al enjoyed Bass fishing with his son Jim. They fished and won many Bass tournaments.

Al was predeceased by his loving wife Joanne (Zablocki) Lewandoski, sisters Barbara Lewandoski, Stella Lewandoski, and his brother Chester (Chet) Lewandoski.

Surviving family members are his three son’s Mark Lewandoski and his wife Donna of Belmont, NH, James Lewandoski and his wife Cheryl of Belmont, NH, and David Lewandoski and his wife Susan of Hollis, NH, and one daughter, Jane Barszcz and her husband Ted of Meriden, CT. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

At the request of Al, there will be no calling hours or services.
