Lynda (Powell) Burke, age 77 of Brockton, died March 31, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Robert Burke. Lynda was born and raised in Salem, a daughter of the late Stanley Powell and Marie Louise (Parkhurst) Powell. Before moving to Brockton 20 years ago, she lived in Dorchester.
For many years Lynda was a waitress in the Boston and Brockton area and most recently at Grand Slam in West Bridgewater. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed trips to casinos, lying in the sun at her pool and playing with her dogs Brady Thomas and Lola Jean.
Lynda was the mother of Michael Olcott, David Olcott and his fiancée Cheryl Donahue and Michelle Martinez and her husband Miguel. She leaves 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late David Powell and best friend of Lucy Premo.
Visitation will be held Saturday April 6, 2024 at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St., Brockton 12:30 – 3:30 pm followed by her funeral service at 3:30 pm.
