Obituary

James R. Kemble, 79, of Westport, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the husband of Carole A. (de Villers) Kemble.

Born in Worcester, MA, son of the late Ernest J. and Genevieve (Pigoga) Kemble, he had lived in Westport since 1984. A United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he served in Korea from 1962-1963, where he had security clearance for tactical nuclear weapons. Prior to retirement, he worked for Veritiv in Worcester. Mr. Kemble was a charter fishing captain on his boat: The Eastern Viking and he enjoyed flying his airplane.

Including his wife, he is survived by 2 sons: Jesse J. Kemble and his wife Kristen of La Jolla, CA and David J. Kemble and his wife Mari of Wellesley, MA; 2 grandchildren: Lola and Marcus; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, April 5, 2024 at the Potter Funeral Home at 12:00 P.M.

Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. prior to the funeral.

Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
