Obituary

Robert “Bob” Blaine Henry, 73, of Clymer, PA went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 29, 2024 while being surrounded by his loving family at Heritage Grove in Indiana, PA.

The son of Dean and Anna Belle (Fulmer) Henry, he was born on December 1, 1950 in Indiana, PA

Bob wed Iris E. Engle on May 31, 1969. They have shared nearly fifty-five years of marriage.

He was a member of the Laurel Swamp Union Church, Rte 553, Clymer, PA, where he also served as a Sunday school teacher and deacon. For many years, Bob was the Laurel Swamp Cemetery caretaker.

An avid car enthusiast, Bob was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) and the National Street Rod Association (NSRA). He was also a NRA member and loved hunting.

Bob never met a stranger. He thoroughly enjoyed conversing with everyone he met.

He is survived by his wife, Iris of Clymer, PA; his daughter Tiffany Henry Aloi and husband Frank of Cranberry, PA; daughter Yvette Henry of Indiana, PA and son, Thaddeus Henry and wife Stephanie of Export, PA; his three grandchildren: Ben Henry and significant other, Mackenzie Kean; Zachary Henry and significant other, Rachael Myers and Alexandra Coker and significant other, Bryce Morgan and his great granddaughter, Kirie Henry-Kean.

Also surviving are his stepbrother, Mike Blankenship and wife Gloria of New Florence, PA, stepsister, Rita Blankenship of Oregon and numerous extended family members.

Preceded in death by his son, Ryan Henry; his father, Dean Henry; his mother, Anna Belle Henry Blankenship; his stepfather, J. Paul Blankenship and his sister, Beverly Henry Costlow.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon, the time of Bob’s funeral service, at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA. Pastor Noah Clevenger will officiate. Interment will be at Laurel Swamp Cemetery, Clymer, PA.

Bob greatly enjoyed spending time at the Cookport Fair (Green Township Fair Assn.), where he was a proud to be a shareholder. He delighted in working at the fairgrounds, especially with the tractor pulls.

In honor of Bob’s fondness for the Cookport Fair, his family suggests, in lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution to the Cookport Fair Scholarship Fund. Checks made payable to the Richard E. Keith Memorial Scholarship may be mailed to: Richard E. Keith Memorial Scholarship, c/o Keith, 279 Barr Slope Rd., Clymer, PA 15728. Kindly include a note referencing Bob’s name.
