John J. Konen, 61, of Fall River, passed away on March 24, 2024 at St. Anne’s Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of Amy Konen (Ainsworth), to whom he was married for thirty years.
Born and raised in Fall River, John was the son of Gertrude T. Konen of Port Charlotte, FL and the late Russell Konen.
Along with his wife and mother, John is survived by his three children: Jessica Jackson (husband Daniel) of Middleboro, Jennifer Konen (husband Aaron) of Westport, and John Konen of Fall River; his granddaughters Iris May Konen and Stella Bee Konen; and his brother Paul Pereira (wife Marty) of Port Charlotte, FL.
John was a graduate of Bishop Connolly High School and attended Johnson & Wales University where he studied culinary arts. He had a true passion for cooking. Whether it was making pasta salad for a cookout, brainstorming Thanksgiving Day dishes with his daughter, or loading up his brother Paul’s Harley Davidson with chourico and peppers for him to bring home, John often expressed his love through food.
John was devoted to his family. He dedicated his life to being the caretaker for his wife Amy and spent as much time as he could babysitting his oldest granddaughter Iris, with whom he shared a special bond. John loved being a Papa to his granddaughters and was extremely proud of all three of his children.
Funeral Service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held Monday at 10AM at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 4321 N. Main ST, Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Stafford Rd, Fall River. Visitation will be from 9-9:45am at the church.
