M. Joyce (Kydd) Reed, 84, of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Somerset Ridge Center. She was the daughter of the late George W. and Elsie (Jackson) Kydd.
Ms. Reed was born in Fall River and had resided in the city since 1978. Prior to retirement, she worked as a secretary for Fall River Electrical Associates. She enjoyed spending quiet time outside and was an avid reader of mystery novels. She was also quite the collector, particularly if it said "collectable"; and she's got the beanie babies to prove it. Luckily there was no dental evidence of her other passion, sweets, which she indulged in through her final days. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Cortez Allen Chapter #161 of Westport.
Survivors include her 2 sons: Timothy A. Reed of Fall River and his fiancée Holly Searles of Somerset, and Stanley L. Reed, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Westport; 9 grandchildren: Angela Reed, Alicia Reed, Daniel Reed, Brandon Reed, Christopher Reed, Andrea Reed, Sophia Reed, Nicholas Reed, and Aiden Reed; her niece Marie Tina Kydd and nephew Terry Kydd of California; along with many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
She was the grandmother of the late Matthew Alan Reed and sister of the late Terry G. Kydd and Thomas G. Kydd.
