Obituary

LAKE PLACID, FL – Jeanne C. (Paradis) Menard, 71, of Lake Placid, Florida and a longtime resident of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, March 24, 2024. She passed into Eternal Life in Chicopee surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on July 27, 1952, a beloved daughter of the late Vincent E. Paradis and Claire S. (Poulin) Paradis Lajoie. She was raised in Holyoke, graduated from Precious Blood High School, lived in Chicopee for many years before moving to Lake Placid, FL in 2021. She was a longtime secretary for the government and served from 1981 to 1989 in the Air National Guard at Barnes Air Reserve Base in Westfield. She was a member of the Lake Placid Baptist Church. Jeanne enjoyed spending time at the pool with her family and many friends. She leaves her three loving and devoted children, Amy J. Tabb and her husband, Daniel, of Ireland, Brian K. Connors and his wife, Melissa, of Westfield, and Greg H. Connors of Chicopee; her stepson, Jared Menard and his wife, Breanna, of Chicopee; her 12 cherished grandchildren, Jaidan, Senan, and Liberty Tabb, Genesis, Tristen, Ethan, Ireland, and Chance Connors, Gavin and Grace Connors, and Meadow and Summer Menard; her former husband, Keith Connors of Florida; her dear sister, Suzanne Scher and her husband, Dr. Stephen Scher, of Vero Beach, FL; her dear niece, Lauren Romanowiz and her son, Justin, of Florida; her special nephew who was like a son to her, Carl Connors of Chicopee; and her extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roland N. Menard who was Called Home on September 18, 2021; and her stepson, Jason Menard who was Called Home on December 7, 2006. Her family will receive friends at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 on Monday, April 1, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the Beulah Baptist Church, 755 Prospect Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (please meet directly at the Church). Her burial will be private at Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley.
