Obituary

Sally A. (Watt) LaCourse, age 79, of Brockton, died at the Good Samaritan Medical Center on Thursday, March 14, 2024 after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late David W. LaCourse and loving mother of William D. LaCourse. Born and raised in Belfast, Maine a daughter of the late Harold and Shirley Watt, Sally was a 1962 graduate of Belfast. She then moved to Cambridge, Mass. to attend Holy Ghost Nursing School where she became an LPN.

Sally worked for several years at Youville Hospital before she started her lengthy career with the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center-Boston. She was very proud that as a LPN she held the position of Charge Nurse for most of those years. Sally was awarded multiple certificates of acknowledgement throughout her career and she will be remembered as a very caring, loving, determined and hardworking nurse who treasured her nick name “Sassy Sal.”

Growing up on the water in Maine, Sally was a lifelong lover of lobster rolls and clam chowder. Her talent as a singer and dancer would later lead to meet her husband David. Sally was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and particularly enjoyed watching with her husband. She was a huge animal lover and enjoyed shopping, music, cooking, board games and Chicago PD marathons.

Most importantly, Sally enjoyed time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Sally was the mother of William LaCourse and his partner Loren Peterson of Abington and Keith Rogerson of Brockton and was the grandmother of Emily Rose LaCourse, Molly Ann LaCourse and Gregory William LaCourse.

At the request of Sally’s family, all services will be private.
