Glen Walker, 84, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Walker at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Kenny Kicklighter will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Brandon Rugg, Chad Elder, Ray Walker, Michael Walker, Carol Miller and Dale Watson will serve as pallbearers.
Born April 10, 1939, in Tift County, Mr. Walker was the son of the late Tom Walker, Sr. and Lula Mae Dillard Walker. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Jean Watson Walker; one son, Ronald Walker; one daughter, Cynthia Walker; and two brothers, former Sheriff Edd Walker and Tom Walker, Jr.. He was the owner and operator of Glen Walker Body Shop in Tifton; and he served on the Tifton Police Department from 1954 to 1973.
Mr. Walker is survived by a special niece, Haley Peters of Tifton.
