Obituary

Robert E. Pelletier, 92, passed away peacefully in his home with family by his side, on March 5, 2024. He was the devoted husband of the late Arlene C. (Harrison) Pelletier with whom he had shared 54 years of marriage until her passing in 2009.
Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Lucienne (Levesque) Pelletier. A Army veteran of the Korean War, he trained at the armored school at Fort Knox and was transferred to Fort Hood where he serviced tanks, military vehicles and aircraft. Robert served from 1949 through 1957.
Following his tour of duty he was employed by General Electric in Lynn for over twenty five years. Robert began as a machinist and became a supervisor and test mechanic in the aircraft division.
Robert was a member of the Danvers Fish & Game Club. He enjoyed target shooting and vintage firearms. He also constructed and repaired wooden model aircrafts, as well as auto restoration.
He is survived by his two daughters, Laurie Packard and grandchildren, Sydney and Jensen Packard and Roberta Pelletier and his brother Marcel Pelletier. Robert also had many ‘honorary sons and daughters.
