Sylvia M. (Sullivan) Paine, age 83, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at the Alliance Health at Maples in Wrentham. She was the beloved wife of the late John M. Paine, who died on April 5, 2004.
Born in Norwood, MA on November 1, 1940, she was a loving daughter of the late John and Doris (Pease) Sullivan.
Sylvia grew up in Walpole and was a 1959 graduate of Walpole High School. A resident of Mansfield since 1967, she was a dedicated homemaker and also insured the safe transportation of children, as a school bus driver for the Town of Mansfield.
Sylvia truly loved time spent with her family. She was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield and enjoyed music, movies, reading, crafts, gardening and sports.
She is survived by her devoted daughters: Amy M. Blye and her husband Daniel of Mansfield, Elizabeth A. Meyer of Taunton and the late Dawn H. Paine. She was the cherished grandmother of Ashley, Daniel, Christopher, Scott, Caitlin, the late William and the great grandmother of Bailey. She was the sister of Stephen Sullivan of Walpole.
Services, along with burial at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
