Born January 4, 1929, in Fall River, MA, son of the late Frederick L. Mason Sr., and Lilliose (Marois) Mason, he was raised in Swansea, MA. Fred married Eileen M. His proudest accomplishment was being on a design team that designed and manufactured bellows that were eventually used on the Apollo 8 spacecraft. Fred was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus for his entire adult life.
