Obituary

Céline Rae García died peacefully in her parent’s arms at Boston Children’s Hospital on March 8, 2024. Céline was very unique and special from the start. She was born with two rare conditions, a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia and an omphalocele.
She leaves her loving parents, Pablo Garcia, Jr. and Abigayl (Sousa) Garcia; maternal grandparents, Suzanne and David Sousa of Worcester; paternal grandparents, Esther Carrasquillo and Pablo Garcia, Sr. of Fayetteville, NC; four aunts, Holly Athanasiou and her husband, Vasilios of Worcester, Maria Garcia and her husband, Neftali Torres of Taunton, Paula Garcia of Brockton, and Wilnelia Garcia and her husband, Kevin Fuentes of Fayetteville, NC; an uncle, Bryan Garcia of Taunton; and many cousins.
During her brief time on earth, Céline was everything her parents could have asked for. She was a true blessing. Céline enjoyed listening to Disney lullabies and holding on to her favorite octopus. She also loved story time with her mom and dad. Céline was the strongest, bravest baby girl and touched the lives of many. Céline was loved beyond measure and will be greatly missed. She now rests in the arms of Jesus. We love you, our sweet girl. Fly with the butterflies until we meet again.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all of her medical team at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Funeral services and burial will be private. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements. Donations can be made in honor of, Céline, to Boston Children’s Hospital.
