Worcester_ Carmen Lidia Escobar – Saldana, 67, of Worcester passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, March 9, 2024. She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Luis Saldana, Sr. She also leaves her children, Veronica Saldana, Anibal Saldana and Jesus Saldana, all of Worcester, brothers Rigoberto Escobar, Joel Escobar, and Lionel Escobar; sister, Maira Escobar; ten grandchildren, Liliana Saldana, Dynasty Saldana, Roselin Fuentes, Alexianaali Saldana, Luis Josiah Saldana, Raquel Saldana, Jesus Saldana Jr., Xavier Saldana, Cattleya Saldana and Luis Warren Saldana; son-in-law William Fuentes; Daughter- In-Law, Francesca Washington; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, Luis Saldana Jr.; sisters, Nancy and Nellie Escobar. Carmen was born in Loiza, Puerto Rico a daughter of the late Thomas Escobar and Serafina Ramos.
Mrs. Escobar was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Caring for her home and family was her joy.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 13, 2024 in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. Worcester. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, March 14, 2024 in the funeral home, followed by burial in Hope Cemetery 160 Webster St. www.worcesterfuneral.com
