Obituary

Frank M. Pavao, co-owner of a sporting goods store in Westport, died Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Serenity Hill Nursing Home after a brief illness. He was 89.

Born in Fall River, he had lived in Westport from 1964 - 2020. After a career in construction, Mr. Pavao was co-owner and operator of SportsTown in Westport with his wife Elizabeth, until his retirement in 1992. He was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport.

An avid sports fan, especially the Los Angeles Rams, he was a physical fitness fanatic, including daily runs at Horseneck Beach. He was always moving, taking on many projects at their home on Briggs Road.

Mr. Pavao is survived by his son, Robert and his wife Joy of North Attleboro; a grandson, Ryan Pavao; a dear niece Judy Taylor along with several other nieces and nephews.

He was brother of the late Natalie Margarida.

Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 11:00 A.M.

Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
