Obituary

Pellagrini, Albert J. age 91, passed away peacefully on March 3rd. He was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts, and resided in Hyde Park, Wellesley, and Yarmouthport over the course of his long life. He was predeceased by his seven siblings: Irene Godinho, Marilyn Pugliano, Jeanette Bushee, Lilian Bogni, William Pellagrini, Edward Pellagrini and Robert Pellagrini. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Thelma Pellagrini, and his three children: Linda Pellagrini of Brooklyn, NY, Richard Pellagrini of Medford, MA, and Diane Pellagrini (Dan McCarthy) of Watertown, MA. He enjoyed the love of his five grandchildren: Anthony, Nicholas, and Ava Pellagrini and Owen and Ella McCarthy. He was beloved by many nieces and nephews throughout his life. Al was a veteran of the Korean War and a fantastic baseball player, playing in the minor league system of the Baltimore Orioles. He was a devoted fan of the Red Sox, and a lover of sports, jazz, the ocean, and his wife’s cooking.

Visitation at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. Wellesley on Wednesday, March 6, from 9:30am-10:30am followed by a funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, Wellesley at 11AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
