Obituary

West Boylston: Bruce D. Aro, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2024 in Rose Monahan Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 55 years Sharon L. (Bogar) Aro; daughters Tracy Desroches and her husband Keith of Holden and Jessica Jennings of Natick; 3 grandsons- Mitchell Bolduc, Nicholas Jennings and Daniel Jennings; a brother Edward Aro of NV; brothers in law James, Wayne and Steven Bogar; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother in law Ronald Bogar.

Bruce was born in Worcester, son of the late Walter and Ruth Aro. He graduated from North High School and earned his Associates Degree from Worcester Junior College.

He proudly served his country in the US Air Force, stationed in Spain for 3 years and worked as a draftsman in the electronics industry for many years. He enjoyed bird watching, photography, and doing puzzles. His greatest joy over the years was attending and supporting his daughters in their numerous sports events and dance recitals.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bruce's memory may be made to Rose Monahan Hospice House 10 Judith Rd. Worcester.
