It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jacqueline L Brodeur, 83, of Manchester, NH who died on February 28, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Jackie was born in Manchester on August 18, 1940, the daughter of Oniva and Oliva Lemire.
Jackie grew up and attended schools in Manchester. In her younger years she worked at the shoe factories in town before moving on to working at Allegro’s and Harvest Market as a deli and bakery manager which she enjoyed until she retired. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was always happy being surrounded by family and friends. She loved having fun being a grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed traveling and volunteering at the Elliott Hospital and multiple soup kitchens in Manchester.
Jackie is survived by her sons, Marc Montville and his wife Kelly Macdonald of Manchester, David and his wife Nancy Montville of PA, her grandchildren, Meagan Vandeventer and her husband Randy of Manchester, Caitlin Belley and her husband Doug of Bow, and Kristina Montville of NY. She will also be deeply missed by her brother Jules Lemire of Manchester, her sister, Helen Biron of FL, and her great grandchildren, Jack, Ezra, Lucy, and Arlo as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Brodeur who died in 1992, her parents Oniva and Oliva Lemire, her siblings Raymond Lemire, Priscella Goupil, and Florence Harris.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge Street, Manchester, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 5:30 PM. Burial will be private for the family.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made in Jackie’s name to American Cancer Society or Meals on Wheels, Manchester, N.H.
