Obituary

Yarmouth-Patricia “Patti” Lee (Hanson) Clukey.
Patti passed away peacefully on February 19, 2024, with her daughter at her bedside. She was 75 years old.
She was born in Portland, Maine, on November 22, 1948 to the late Leland and Ernestine (Ryder) Hanson
She was one of six children.
She grew up in Portland and attended Portland schools.
She started her family young and completed the family with three children.
She played darts in a league and enjoyed the friendships made through that activity.
Back in the day, she enjoyed going to the local fairs, apple picking with her kids and going to live shows where she had the chance to meet a few of the entertainment.
She also briefly ran her own food truck, cooking everything from scratch.
She fell in love with Mooselookmegunitc Lake after vacationing there with her Cousins Sharon and Ronnie, eventually purchasing, with her former husband, The Mooselookmeguntic House Cabin Rental business.
She loved that area so much she requested some of her ashes be spread there.
Patti worked as a certified nursing assistant, doing private duty and working in local nursing homes and hospitals. She loved her job and was adored by her patients and thought highly of by the Drs she worked with.
In her 40s she went back to school and received an Associate's Degree from Andover College for Medical Assistant.
She was so proud, as we were of her, to have made the Dean’s list for a few semesters all while working and taking care of her family.
Before retiring, one of her fond memories was working with her daughter, “the nurse”, and being her CNA and hearing “Mom” down the hall when she was needed for something.
The patients seemed to get a kick out of the mom/daughter team.
Patti loved being “Nana” and cherished the time spent with her grandkids
She loves spending time with friends and family, and looked forward to spending time with her sister Beverly and the many nieces and nephews in Durham, Connecticut, helping at the Durham fair, getting her picture taken with the celebrity entertainment.
Patti’s life was not without struggle or challenges, but she never gave up.
