Obituary

Worcester: Dr. Bernard Idiagbonya, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family after an illness. He leaves his children: Elizabeth, Ezekiel, Philomena, Henry, Margaret, Esther, Gloria; Grandchildren: Mariah, Jordan, Jo'Elle, Myranda, Hazel, Benjamin, Joshua, Victor, Khmari, Kendrick; Brothers: John, Goodluck, Godwin, Osayi, Moses, Friday; and sisters Victoria, Rebecca, Faith, Juliet, Ota, Evelyn, Glory and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by a son Joel and by brothers Robert, Peter and Sunday.

Bernard was born in Ewohimi, Esan South East, Edo State, Nigeria, son of the late Agnes and David. He graduated from College in Nigeria and received his Doctorate Degree from The Academy of Traditional Medicine in China. He served as a Nigerian diplomat in multiple countries and also at the Nigerian Consulate in New York City for many years. He was a member of the Apostolic Church, Glorious Vision , in Worcester and enjoyed helping people. He enjoyed reading, writing, photography, dancing, and soccer.

He will always be remembered for saying "God's time is the best".

Calling hours will be held Friday Feb 16th from 5:00PM - 7:00PM in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral service will be held Saturday Feb 17th from 8:30AM - 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery at 10:30AM to conclude by 11:30AM, followed by a 12:00PM celebration of life gathering at the Living Word Church of Worcester.
