Lederhos, Kathryn Drew of Wellesley, MA died of natural causes on Feb 3, 2024 at the age of 100.

Kay is survived by her children, son Robert and his wife Lorraine, Lynn Learson and her husband John, Anne and Mark. Also survived by eight grandchildren, Matt, Kris, Steve, Kate, Amy, Alyssa Meg and Becca, and eight great-grandchildren.

Kay was born in Des Moines, Iowa on May 2, 1923, to Edward M. Drew and Margaret Downey Drew. She was the fifth of seven children. She attended University of Iowa and Drake University before accepting a position with American Airlines as a Stewardess based in Boston. She said it was the best job she ever had! There she met Warren (Buzz) Lederhos, her husband of 54 years until his death. Kay continued to enjoy travel, and visited 30 countries including her beloved Ireland and back home to Des Moines, Iowa.

Once her children were grown, Kay was very busy with several occupations including the Treasure House. She loved retail and enjoyed gifting her children from the stores she worked. She was honored for 25 years of volunteering at Wellesley-Newton Hospital in their gift shop.

Kay had a wry sense of humor. She never turned down a traveling adventure. She hosted Sunday family dinners for decades and countless Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Kay was known for her delicious stuffing and amazing jello mold concoctions! Buzz and Kay traveled all over the US, plus many trips to Europe with longtime friends they met through the bowling league at the Maugus Club.

As Mom often said, “See you later alligator”.
