Obituary

WORCESTER____Leo T. Stebbins, 84, of Worcester passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Married in 1970, his wife, Janice A. (Lajoie) Stebbins preceded him in death in 2006.

Leo leaves his children, Jacqueline Blaikie and her husband, William, Helen Wright, Terry Favreau and her husband, Ed, and Tammy Sumrall and her husband, Jack, 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, many cousins including Jackie, Audrey, and Sonny and many nieces and nephews. He was born in Marlborough, son of Leo C. and Viola (Chamberlain) Stebbins and has lived in Worcester for most of his life. He graduated from Commerce High School.

Mr. Stebbins was a veteran of the United States Air Force as a Signals and Communications specialist, and worked as a courier for many years for Purolator Courier. Inc before he retired. He and his wife also owned Stebbins Florist, Designs by Jan on Granite St in the Vernon Hill neighborhood in the 70s.
Mr. Stebbins was an avid Ham Radio operator. His call sign was W1DSE. He enjoyed building radios as well. He was an avid reader and loved WWII History. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a jokester and always had a come-back line! Leo Loved to travel with his wife, and they went on many adventures together. He was very loved!

His family is honoring Leo with a celebration of life on Friday, February 2 at a private event. Dirsa – Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton Street, is assisting the family with arrangements.
