Obituary

Deborah Ann Laferriere, also known as Debby, passed away on January 7, 2024, in Dracut, Massachusetts, at the age of 57. She was born on July 4, 1966, in Holyoke, Massachusetts to Linda R Mele (Laferriere). Debby was a caring and compassionate individual who always put her family first. She had a strong sense of punctuality and was always willing to lend a helping hand to her loved ones. Her grandbabies and grand fur babies held a special place in her heart, and she adored her two cats, Harley and Jasper. Deborah is survived by her daughter Ashley Newman and her husband Ray Newman of Concord, NH, her daughter Brittany Laferriere and boyfriend Mike Millett of Hudson, NH, and her son Tyler Laferriere and girlfriend Francesca of Hudson, NH. She also leaves behind her grandsons Kaleb, Alexander, Cayden, and Camron. In addition, she is survived by her half-sister Melissa Flaherty Encinosa of New Port Richey, FL, her nieces Tara Widtfeldt of Lawrence, MA, and Alyssa Encinosa of New Port Richey, FL. Her stepfather Michael Mele of Methuen, MA, and stepsisters Angela Mele and Darlene Mele, both of Methuen, MA, also survive her. Debby was preceded in death by her daughter Nicole Laferriere of Dracut, MA, her mother Linda R Mele (Laferriere) of Methuen, MA, and her half-brother Brian Flaherty of Methuen, MA. Deborah attended Lowell High School and furthered her education at Middlesex Community College. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music, watching movies and TV shows, playing video games, and most importantly, spending quality time with her family. Deborah Ann Laferriere will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her caring nature, punctuality, and love for her family will forever be cherished. May she rest in peace.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, January19, 2024 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd., Dracut.
