HIRAM- HIRAM- Denise Taylor Pitts, age 66, passed away at Gosnell House in Scarborough after a brief battle with cancer on Jan. 1, 2024.
She was born in Dover, NH on Jan. 7, 1957, a daughter of the late Lawrence Taylor and Mary (DeWitt) Taylor and is a graduate of Sacopee Valley High School.
Denise will forever be remembered for the enjoyment she had in the love of her home she shared with her husband, gardening, reading, crafting, baking, and most especially - being with her grandchildren.
Over the years, Denise was employed as a CNA, majority of which time was spent at Ledgewood Manor in Windham.
Besides her parents, Denise is predeceased by her siblings- Barbara, Richard, and Lawrence Jr.,
Denise is survived by her husband- Marvin Pitts of Hiram; children- Nicole Lewis of Florida and Matt Pitts and his wife Jen of Limerick;
grandchildren- Maisie, Alyssa, Anthony, Malakye, and Trusden; great grandchildren- Avah and K'maya
siblings- Shirley, Sandy, Laura, Joyce, Julie, and Esther; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Her family has chosen to celebrate her life on her birthday with visiting hours, Sunday Jan, 7th from 2 - 4 PM, followed by a 4 PM service at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., in Cornish.
