Manuel M. "Manny" Vale, 79, of Westport, peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, December 10, 2023 surrounded by family. He was the husband of Carolyn K. (Cote) Vale.
Mr. Vale was born in St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Manuel and Mary (Medeiros) Vale, and had resided in Westport since 1974. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War in the National Guard from 1966-1972. Prior to retirement, he was a Captain in the MA State Police. He had worked at multiple barracks and spent most of his career with Troop D, Middleboro. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport.
Survivors, along with his wife, include his son: Brian M. Vale and his wife Tracy of Assonet; his 2 brothers: John Vale and his wife Carlyn of Somerset and Joseph Vale and his wife Pauline of Westport; 2 grandchildren, Brian and Alison; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, December 18, 2023 at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 11:30A.M.
Memorial visitation will be Monday at the Potter Funeral Home from 9-11 A.M., prior to the Mass.
Interment will be at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
