CHICOPEE – Robert C. “Buddy” Jones, 74, of the Willimansett section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, November 10, 2023. He passed at Holyoke Medical Center in Holyoke surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Holyoke on July 4, 1949, a beloved son of the late Eddie M. Jones, Sr. and Mabel Lillian (Dupre) Jones. He was raised in Holyoke, graduated from Holyoke High School in 1968 and had moved to Chicopee in 1993 where he lived the remainder of his life. He was employed as a materials handler at the Gray Supply Company in Springfield. During his leisure time, he enjoyed trying his luck at the casinos and watching television, including NCIS. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and many friends. He leaves his loving sister in law, June E. Jones of South Hadley; and his cherished niece, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving brother, Eddie M. Jones, Jr. who was Called Home on March 6, 1996. His funeral services and burial will be private. There are no visiting hours.
