Karen Marie (Schaefer) Milot 59, passed away peacefully July 28 in Milford Regional Medical Center following a long illness. She as the wife of John G. Milot for the past 27 years.
Born in Needham , April 5,1963, the daughter of Mary A. (Sullivan ) Schaefer of Franklin and the late David Schaefer, Karen was raised and lived in Bellingham before moving to Franklin 35 years ago.
She had been a secretary in the office of Dr. Michael Kennedy in Natick for 14 years. She then owned and operated her own nail salon in Wrentham.
Karen loved to take ocean cruises and trips to Disney World with her husband.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by her children, Jonathan E. Malouin of Franklin, Eric D. Malouin of Southbridge, Ashley E. Rotella of Uxbridge, Michelle R. Johnson of Foster, Rhode Island and Michael S. Milot of West Virginia.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Aidan Johnson of Foster, Rhode Island and Emma E. Trainor of Southbridge.
A celebration of life will be held on August 12 from 6:00-8:00p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin.
