Obituary

Birma Jean Kinnett Harrell, 83, of Telfair County, Georgia, died Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Southwell Medical Cook Campus in Adel, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Blockhouse Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Georgia, with the Rev. Tommy Land, Jr. and Hank Steverson officiating. Interment will follow in Blockhouse Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.

Mrs. Harrell was born November 11, 1937, in Telfair County, Georgia, to the late Herbert & Irene Grimes Kinnett. She was a homemaker; a former employee of Monarch and Fitzgerald Underwear and also a caregiver. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Helping others was her God gift. Mrs. Harrell was a member of Blockhouse Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter Barbara Steverson Davis & Phillip of Sparks; two sons, Wayne Russell Steverson & Renee of Maggie Valley, North Carolina and Hank Nolan Steverson of Dublin; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and siblings: Annie Ruth Barrentine of Brunswick, Lola Spell of Pridgen and Shirley Kinnett of Moultrie. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Bobby “J.B.” Steverson; her second husband, William Joseph Harrell; a daughter, Brenda Gail Cravey; Siblings: Gerald Kinnett, Thomas Kinnett, Herbert Kinnett, Ada Young, Christine Hester, Millie Burke, Jewell Solomon and Della Dale.
