Jose M. Pimentel, 76, of Westport, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Maria F. (Cabral) Pimentel.
Mr. Pimentel was born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, son of the late Joao P. and Roselina B. (Medeiros) Pimentel and had resided in Westport since 1979. Prior to his retirement, he was the owner/operator of the former Pimentel's Dairy Farm of Westport. He was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport.
Survivors along with his wife include his 2 sons: Robert M. Pimentel and his wife Wanda of AZ and Joseph M. Pimentel, Jr. and his companion Jessica Rounds of Westport; 2 brothers: Manuel M. Pimentel of New Bedford and Ernest M. Pimentel of Dartmouth; 2 sisters: Fatima M. Duarte of New Bedford and Roselina M. Ponte of Dartmouth; 4 grandchildren: Lane, Blake, Madison and Kayliana; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Dennis M. Pimentel, Frank M. Pimentel and Maria M. Carreiro.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5-8 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
