On August 14, 2019 Aida Cervantes Moran, devoted wife of Nehemy M. Moran and beloved mother of Nehama Moran and husband Dave, Syvel Padayhag and husband Anthony and Naomi Madairy and husband Dale, joined our Lord after a long battle with cancer.
Aida was born on November 9, 1949 in Margosatubig, a small provincial town in the Philippines. She grew up in a very close-knit and supportive family, the 5th of 7 siblings, namely Sylvia‡, Estrella, Epifania, Julito, Norma and Rosenita. Through hard work and determination, she overcame her humble beginnings, graduated college and became a high school teacher. She later went into business with her husband as a civil works contractor.
Family was the most important to Aida. She spent the latter days of her life taking care of her grandchildren, Yedda, Yasmine and Parker, and taking part in family get-togethers.
Aida was a very religious person and was an active member of the Loch Raven Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends and relatives at The Johnson-Fosbrink Funeral Home P.A., 8521 Loch Raven Blvd. (Beltway Exit 29-B) on Friday, August 16th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17th at the Loch Raven Baptist Church at 10:00 AM and internment will follow at 11:15 AM at the Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens.
