Roger A. Malonson, 76, of Dartmouth passed away Saturday July 20, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Beverly (Carreira) Malonson.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Raymond A. and Lillian (Savaria) Malonson, he lived in Dartmouth since 1977.
Roger was formerly employed as an industrial painter and fabricator at Kinney Vacuum Division – Tuthill Corp. in Canton until his retirement.
He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved watching birds outside his window.
He is survived by his wife Beverly; two children, Michelle C. Battista and husband Paul, and Roger A. Malonson, Jr. and his wife Roslynne; his brother, Paul R. Malonson and his wife Isabel; and six grandchildren, Michael Battista, Sara Battista, Laura Battista-Christianson and her husband Hayden, Maria Battista, Anna Battista-Jacobson and her husband Jalen, and Shelbi Malonson.
His visitation will be held on Friday July 26, 2019 from 6-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
