Donald Joseph Andrews, 60, of Franklin died June 21, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 1, 1958 in Arlington, Massachusetts to the late Ronald T. and Anne L. Andrews (Theriault).
He was a graduate of Hyde Park High School Class of 1976 where he excelled in sports especially baseball Donald was inducted into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame in 1974 and will be forever memorialized in The Hall of Fame in Cooperstown ,NY. Donald was an avid Boston Sports fan, but the sport he enjoyed the most was playing a game of chess with his son Kurt.
Donald worked in the construction trades most of his life and had a great work ethic, until recently had worked for Thermo Fisher Scientific in Franklin.
In addition to his wife Karen (Cifizzari) Andrews, he is survived by a son Kurt M. Andrews of Franklin, and a brother Scott R. Andrews of Plainville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday , June 26, 2019 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street in Franklin at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Union Street Cemetery in Franklin.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 – 8 p.m.
