Obituary

WORCESTER___Geraldine Y. (Earley) Devault, 93, of Worcester formerly of Marlborough passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday June 15, 2019 in the Odd Fellows Home. In 1946 Geraldine married the love of her life Warren E. Devault Sr and began a 70 year journey filled with love, family & adventure until 2016 when Warren passed away. She joins him now in heaven and is also reunited with her daughter Linda McLaughlin who predeceased her.

She leaves three sons, Warren E. “Skip” Devault, Jr, of Northborough; Phillip J. Devault and his wife Nancy of Lakewood, CO, and Paul J. Devault and his wife Roberta of Clarkdale, AZ, a son-in-law, John McLaughlin of Newbury, NH, 8 grandchildren, Carol Mathewson of Worcester; Jesse Devault of Burlington; Sean McLaughlin of NH, Christopher Devault, Deidre Motys and Benjamin Devault all of CO, Tim Hannon of Marlborough and Terryn Renaud of Northborough; 14 great-grandchildren, Christopher, Noah, Brennen, Samantha, Lexi, Hunter, Aiden, Lilliana, Kinsley, Cooper, Piper, Savannah, Ivy and Ava. She also leaves a brother-in-law, Ken Devault and his wife Millie of CT, and a sister-in-law, Earline Poirier of CA, and many nieces and nephews. Geraldine was also predeceased by a brother, John Earley, Jr. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of John and Juliette (Lupien) Earley.

Geraldine was lovingly called "Nana" by all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her famous meatballs and sauce were often enjoyed at many family gatherings. She enjoyed collecting Tea Cups, watching birds and was an avid reader. She loved traveling with her husband and they were always off on an adventure with their camper heading for Cape Cod or across the country often taking grandchildren with them to vacation and visit family. Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts but she will always be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from DIRSA – MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St, with a Mass at 12:00 P.M. in Sacred Heart – St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 600 Cambridge Street. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday June 20, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. before the Mass. Entombment in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
