Cataldo, James P. (Jimmy) of Roslindale, June 9, 2019. Beloved son of the late Martin Cataldo, Sr. and Muriel (Noke) Cataldo of Roslindale. Loving father of Martin Cataldo of Dedham and Emma Cataldo of Roslindale and grandfather to Ethan. Devoted brother of Ernest of Oklahoma, Michael and his wife Rebecca of North Carolina, Martin Jr. and Donna Cataldo of Roslindale. Fun loving uncle to nephews, Josh and Nathan and his cherished niece Isabella. He is survived by aunts Mary, Kathy and Dorothy, uncle David, many loving cousins. He is also known as “uncle Jimmy” and “Boston” to his Oklahoma extended family & friends. Jimmy was a dedicated Boston sports fan and loved to garden and grow vegetables, a hobby he acquired from his late Uncle Anthony. He was a great cook and master chef on the grill always wanting to feed family and friends; no recipes required, and everyone was a test taster even when you were not hungry. He is known for his loud laughter and big smile, his inability to whisper, great story telling, often telling you the same story more than once. Above all else, Jimmy had a huge heart to his family, friends and strangers down on their luck. We are comforted in knowing that our brother, Jimmy, is at peace in heaven, surrounded by his loving grandparents, father and uncles.
