Thelma M. (Richard) Arruda, 91, of New Bedford passed away Tuesday June 4, 2019 at the Oaks Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late William Arruda, Sr.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Ludger J. and Urania (Affonso) Richard, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Survivors include two sons, William Arruda, Jr. and his wife Donna of Pawtucket, RI and Barry Arruda and his wife Diane of Dartmouth; her daughter-in-law, Arlene Arruda of Westwood; four grandchildren, Nicole Lang and her husband Keith of Bristol, RI, Jason Arruda and his wife Fenner of Dartmouth, Alison Gibbons of Westwood, Wayne Arruda, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Jacksonville, FL; and four great-grandchildren, Keira Lang, Harrison Gibbons, Eleanor Gibbons and Ellery Arruda.
She was the mother of the late Wayne Arruda.
