Obituary


Paul J. “Bear” Kluchnick, Jr., 71, of Berlin, passed away on Monday May 27, 2019 at Encompass Health in Concord, NH. He was born in Berlin on November 2, 1947 the son of the late Paul J. and Mary L. (Roy) Kluchnick, Sr., and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Berlin High School in 1965 and was a US Navy Veteran. Bear was employed by the paper mill in Groveton for 40 years an was a former bartender at the VFW in Berlin. He was a member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, the Ryan-Scammon Post #36 American Legion, the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his dog, Sobaka.

Family includes his wife of 38 years Kim (Tupick) Kluchnick of Berlin; his daughters Karen Kluchnick and Holly Kluchnick of Berlin; his brothers Luther Kluchnick and Alexander Kluchnick of Gorham; his sister Loree Pike and husband Bobby of Gorham; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Wanda Gagnon Brien.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday June 4, 2019 at 10 AM at the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Berlin. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Monday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM. Interment will be in the Russian City Cemetery at a later date.
