Obituary

Leonard D. Taylor, age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 14, 2019. He was born on July 13, 1926 in Springfield, a son of the late David and Edna (Brisson) Taylor. Leonard was a communicant of St Rose de Lima Parish. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and later worked as the electrical foreman for Smith and Wesson for many years before he retired. Leonard is survived by the love of his life, his wife Lorraine (Durand) Taylor of Chicopee; 4 beloved sons, Michael A. Taylor of Chicopee, Daniel L. Taylor and his wife Susan of Easthampton, Stephen D. Taylor and his wife Marianne of South Hadley and Brian C. Taylor and his wife Judy of Chicopee; 2 beloved daughters Mary Christine Taylor of Chicopee and Alison J. Whalen and her husband Stephen of Reading, MA; 11 cherished grandchildren, Audra, James, Melyssa, Christopher, Amanda, Ryan, Chelsey, Matthew, Sarah, Rebecca, and Sarah, and 10 treasured great grandchildren, Brianna, Skyla, Nevaeh, Christopher, Tricia, Arabella, Roman, Erin, Mason and Avara. He is predeceased by his siblings Clarence, Geraldine, Dorothy and Edna. All services will be private for family. The Grise` Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
