Rosa J. "Molly" (Fortes) Vieira, 89, of Dartmouth, passed from this Earth on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Sacred Heart Home following a courageous battle with cancer and the side effects of the treatment. She was the wife of the late Ernest J. Vieira and daughter of the late Julio M. B. and Adelina V. (Dias) Fortes. She was the second youngest of 16 children.
She is survived by her only child and son: Dennis J. Vieira of Dartmouth; along with many relatives from her family.
In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her brothers: Bento, Alexander, Benedicto, Manual, Antonio, Julio J. and Leonard Fortes and sisters: Isabella Gibau, Anna Fortes, Anna LaFrance-Krakowiak, Clara Gomes, her namesake Rosa Julia Fortes, Maria Lena Gomes, Louise Almeida and Agnes (Fortes) Fortes.
In accordance with her final wishes, funeral services will be omitted. However, messages and cards of condolence are accepted and welcomed.
