Stephen J. Legere, 64, of Londonderry, NH, died Saturday May 11, 2019 in the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. He was born in Everett, MA on April 21, 1955, a son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Boudreau) Legere. He had been a resident of Londonderry since 2001, formerly living in Everett. He was a graduate of the Everett Vocational School, and had been employed as a welder for Market Forge in Everett for 37 years.
He is survived by his wife, Melody (Soper) Legere of Londonderry; his son, Jason Legere of Londonderry; his daughter, Rachel Bettencourt and her husband Dennis, Jr. of Alexandria, NH; his granddaughter, Meadow Bettencourt of Alexandria; his grandson, Joseph Legere of El Mirage, AZ; two Brothers, David Legere and his wife Mary of Freeport, ME, and Bobby Legere of Everett; two sisters, Ruth Nelson and her husband Richard of Everett, MA, and Barbara Teneriello and her husband Arthur of Northfield, NH; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Friday, May 17th from 10am – 12pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A memorial service followed at 12:00pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice House, C/O Home Health and Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
