Obituary

Robert H. "Bob" Brady, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at his home in Charlestown following a 2 week illness with cancer. He was 67 years of age.

Bob was born in Everett on September 27, 1951, a son of the late Hugh "Red" Brady and Margaret (Downey) Brady. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1969. Bob worked alongside his father Red Brady and then solely in the family business of Brady's Repair Appliance for over 30 years always helping the people of Charlestown and surrounding communities repairing any appliances. Bob also worked in the maintenance division for over 10 years for the Suffolk County Court House. He enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and spending summers in Wolfboro, New Hampshire with his family. Bob's greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Bob is the beloved husband of 41 years to Sharon M. (Latta) Brady. He is the devoted father of Robert Brady, David Brady and his partner Michael Tapley and the late Meaghan Brady. He is the loving Pa to Evan Ryan Brady and Keira Garvey. He is the beloved brother of Joanne Tumosa and her husband Ed, Janice Daley and her late husband Bill, Betty Kelly and her husband John and the late Jeanne Hamilton and her surviving husband Bill. He is the beloved son-in-law of Jackie Latta and her late husband David Latta. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bob's Funeral from The Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 10 A.M. followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. His burial is private. His visiting hours will be on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
