Obituary

Frances H. Zinka, of Medford, May 5th. Beloved wife of the late John S. Zinka. Mother of Louise Marinilli and her husband Anthony of Westford, John Zinka and his wife Kathy Campbell of Exeter, NH, Susan Glynn and her husband Joseph of Abington and Michael Zinka and his wife Barbara of Derry, NH. Grandmother of Diane, Andrea, Laura, Timothy, Kevin, Karen, Kelly, Sarah, Stephanie, Ashley, Lindsey, Jennifer, Megan, Bethany and the late Joey. Great grandmother of Avery, Madelyn, Ryan, Zoey, Sarah Kathryn, Adrienne and Scarlet. Sister of Ann Kleponis of South Boston, Virginia Laufer of Maryland and the late Mary, Vincent, Al and Joan Kleponis and Sr. Christine Kleponis, SJC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Frances has been a resident of Medford for the past 66 years. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Clerk for Shawmut Bank for more than 15 years. She was a parishioner and communicant at St. Joseph’s Parish in Medford where she was also a former member of the Mother’s Club. Frances enjoyed traveling, was an avid bowler and spent summers in Wells, Maine during her retirement. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Friday May 10th at 10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, 114 High St., Medford at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 200 Ivy St., Brookline, MA 02446. www.mabvi.org.
