Mary B. Meaden, age 53, of Brockton, died unexpectedly at her home, Saturday, April 27, 2019. Mary was the loving wife of the late John G. Nee. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late James R. and Marjorie M. (Robertson) Meaden. Mary was a graduate of Brockton High School, Massasoit Community College, Stonehill College and received her Juris Doctor degree from New England School of Law. Mary practiced Real Estate Law for Edwards and Angell Law Firm for many years.
Mary is survived by her daughter Eireana Rose Nee and was the sister of Rita Meaden, Lauraine Meaden-Yaffee, Jeanette M. Pierce-Long and Marjorie M. Meaden all of Brockton; and the late James R. Meaden, Jr. and Michael F.P. Meaden. Mary also leaves her step-father Robert J. Cronin of Wareham and many nieces and nephews.
John G. Nee, age 53 of Brockton, died unexpectedly at his home, Saturday, April 27, 2019. John was the loving husband of the late Mary B. Meaden. Born and raised in Galway, Ireland, John was the son of the late John J. and Barbara A. (Burke) Nee. John came to Brockton in 1983 and was a graduate of Brockton High School. For many years, John was employed as a carpenter in the Boston area.
John is survived by his daughter Eireana Rose Nee and was the brother of Luke Nee, Patsy Nee and Tom Nee all of England; Noal Nee of Ireland, Mary Tertulien of New York, Nora Fiore of New Jersey, Treasa O’Carroll, Barbara Maker, Bridie Downes and Bernadette Nee all of Ireland and the late Anne Smith of England. He also leaves many nieces and nephews
Most importantly, John and Mary were the loving and devoted parents of Eireana Rose Nee.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday, May 8, 4-7pm. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, May 9 in Calvary Cemetery at 10am. Donations may be made in John and Mary’s name to Conley Funeral Home to help the family with expenses.
