Obituary

Karen would like to let you know that her work here on Earth is done. On April 25, 2019, she received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment, from which she will not be returning. This journey comes with a huge bonus, which is a reunion with her mother and father, her nana, her brothers Joe and Vin, and countless other family members and friends she has not seen in such a long time. Her new journey takes her to a wonderful place where she will be cooking for a big crowd, gardening, swimming in the biggest pool ever, and socializing to her heart’s content. Laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious, and you never gain an ounce.

We want to let her know how much she is loved and wish her a safe journey. We will remember her smile, her kindness, her energy, and her fierce love for life, family and friends. She worked very hard all her life, up until the very end, and she made a difference in the lives of so many.

Karen is survived by her long-time boyfriend, Charlie; her brothers, Mark and James, her sisters, DeeDee and Helen Mary; her sister-in-law Fatima; her nieces and nephews, Delia, “Baby” James, Michael, Megan, Melissa, and Randy, her great-nephew Cameron, and her beloved dog Bella. All of who she loved and touched deeply.

We invite you to join us and celebrate her life together. Visiting hours at the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale on Monday, April 29, 2019 from
