Patricia M. Smith of West Roxbury passed peacefully with her cherished daughters by her side, Karen Smith of West Roxbury and Moira Smith of Wellesley. From West Roxbury and previously of Madison and Clinton, Connecticut. She attended Girls’ Latin School, The Newman Prep School, and Boston University. Daughter of Ruthford J. Kelly and Marie E. (Benjaminsen) Kelley West Roxbury. Former wife of Eric Smith (predeceased) of London England. Survived by son-in-law, Chris McGowan and beloved grandsons Eric, Patrick, and Christopher of Wellesley, and her many dear and wonderful friends. Patricia was an active member of the Stratford Street United Church in West Roxbury where she made many dear friends over the years. Her participation in the Rose’s Bounty Food Pantry at the Stratford Street Church was an important part of her life. Patricia worked as an Executive Legal secretary for many years in Boston for the law firm Murphy & Mitchell, PC. Patricia loved her family, friends, and neighbors of West Roxbury. She loved all animals and had a very special place in her heart for her beloved cats. Visiting hours: A memorial gathering will be held at Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury on Thursday, April 25th, 10 – 12 pm, with a prayer service at 12:30. Burial will be private.
