Obituary

Richard “Rick” Thomas Favor, 73, of Hyannis, MA, peacefully passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital, Boston.

Rick graduated from Brockton High School in 1963, attended Bradley University earning a degree in Construction Engineering in 1970 and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Rick was a skilled artist in both residential and commercial construction. He loved building and designing structures he knew would improve the lives of those he served. He was a devoted brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He loved spending time with family and friends. He especially loved spending time in Maine either snowmobiling in the remote areas of Rangeley or enjoying time at his retreat home in South Addison.

He is preceded in death by his father William Atwood Favor of Brockton, MA, and mother, Vera Favor of Riverside, CA. He is survived by his daughters Alison Geary and her husband Bill of St. Johns, FL, and Melissa Favor of Hyannis, MA, his grandchildren, Collin, William and Breanna, brother Col William Atwood Favor Jr. (USMC, Ret.), and his wife Nancy, niece Amy Favor Moorman and nephew LtCol Thomas P. Favor (USMC, Ret.).

A celebration of life and a scattering of ashes will be planned in the near future.
